The Church and Its Vision

The Church at Granbury belongs to God; it is not the possession of its members. It has been created – and is being created – to do His will and to accomplish His mission in this community and throughout the world. For this reason:
·     We believe The Church must grow in number, fellowship and spiritual depth to the full extent that God has in mind for us.
·     We believe The Church ministries must involve the entire family, both as objects of its ministries and as witnesses to the entire community and the entire world.
·      We believe The Church must use every technology and every technique possible as quickly as possible to accomplish the mission for which God has saved us.
·      We believe that as we give our lives, our time and our treasure to be The Church, we will grow spiritually and in our understanding that it is impossible to give more to God than He has already given to us.

Building a New Testament Church from the ground up as we are doing is not boring or routine. It appeals to the pioneer spirit within our souls. It gives us a sense of anticipation because we know God is capable of doing extraordinary things in and through our lives. And, we’re filled with expectation because we feel the time is right and the time is now – and we also realize that life is short and that we do not have many opportunities to be involved in something this special to God.

People who are involved in the process of building The Church that we envision must not be ordinary people with the ordinary expectations of people who are simply churchgoers. They must be extraordinary people with a large vision of what a New Testament Church in the 21st century can be, and what it can accomplish for Christ by following His plan for numerical and spiritual growth. These extraordinary people must be “called” by God to fulfill this task, and they must have a “can do” attitude that is capable of withstanding anything and everything that Satan throws at them. They must sweep disappointment, discouragement and every obstacle from their path because they are being led by God, not by man.

If you are one of the extraordinary people called to help build The Church at Granbury, come join us on top of the hill at 4900 Sonterra Court.  Take the road across from the De Cordova Bend Estates entrance on Fall Creek Highway for about one mile.
